Located in Dallas, Texas, each piece is made by hand by local artisan Taylor Kay Stephens (also known as the "Little Bodacious Cowgirl"). Taylor was mentored by master wood craftsman, Jeramy Bede, with more than 40 years of experience.

Every product is of superior quality, made completely by hand from start to finish using only well-seasoned, natural domestic and exotic non-toxic hardwoods.

Every piece is made to order for a particular customer. The process for completing just one piece takes many hours over the course of several days. Once completed, you have a one-of-a-kind heirloom piece of durable functional art.

What makes these boards unique is Taylor's process of splining, which you probably won't find in other boards. A spline is used to attach different woods together for board strength and stability. The spline also keeps it from splitting or warping, which is a common problem in other boards.

All pieces are unstained and finished with a non-toxic food-grade mineral oil and beeswax conditioner. Each order includes instructions on how to maintain and keep your board or tray looking beautiful and increasing longevity.

Your board or tray will arrive with a complimentary 2 oz. container of Butcher Block Conditioner. The penetrating quality of the food grade mineral oil, water resistant beeswax and carnauba wax combines to rejuvenate the wood, helping to prevent drying and cracking. The antibacterial waxes help seal and repair knife marks.
